Members' Dinner Meeting: Thursday, 20 September 2007
Congressman John J.Duncan, Jr. (R -2nd TIV) will be our guest speaker. Please see the bio for Congressman Duncan. Together with Congressman Mike McIntyre (D - 7th NC), Congressman Duncan sponsored the March 2005 House Resolution (H.R. 41) designating April 6 of each year as "National Tartan Day". Space is limited so complete your reservation and payment no later than September 17.

Nominations Committee Elected
The nominations commitee was elected by the Members attending the May quarterly meeting. The committee is responsible for presenting a slate of nominess for the 2008 officers, two nominations for trustees and three nominations for the office of the board of managers. The committee consists of J.B. Meek, Bryan MacEachern, David McKenzie, T.J. Holland, and Read Hanmer.

Come to the Virginia Scottish Games Saturday, September 15
The Society will have a tent at the Games, this year in Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane, Virginia.

Plan now for the Tartan Ball
The 2007 Tartan Ball will be held on Friday, November 9th, 2007, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C. This marks the first time in seventeen years that this formal event has been held in the city of Washington, D.C.!
